Unhappy XC70 HVAC Temperature Control Rabbit Hole

XC70 HVAC Temperature Control Panel for my reg BT57YMV and vin YV1BZ714681015833

Blower interment so could this be "Cooling Fan Module Failure" ???

It seems pretty common with some Volvo's. Sometimes full air con and seat heated and hot blower etc ...but then it can suddenly stop (on a smooth road with no bumps) then just general warm air comes out (feels like its from the engine as the faster the hotter). Ive taken this to 2 local garages. They have changed the Heat resistor and they seem to think its not the blower itself. They have reset the CCM and checked the 40 amp and flushed core etc...

So now I'm pretty convinced its the HVAC Temperature Control Panel 30782908
that needs replacing.

I'm no mechanic, so currently looking to find the part used and get the local garage to replace it to keep the budget down....just don't want to go down anymore costly rabbit holes. If it can be fit, will it need re-progamming (by volvo??) if its the exact part ?

Anyone here similar history ? Any advice very (very) welcome..
