Hi Element888,
Here is my xc90 Engine D5244T side view-163bhp - black engine cover. 2.4 diesel. Look like it has be occupied by bolts, but Not sure.
Any thoughts please

I have sent PM to everyone who was interested buying kit. Kits will be with me end of next week, so I will be posting them following Monday. I got at least 2 extra kits, as person checked and it wont fit, so please contact me if you willing to buy. Thanks

Unfortunately this won't fit to my 2004 S60 D5 - it has the mount/support bracket that uses the two bolt holes

Shame...

It appears that Volvo did make a belt protector (part number 30731907). It's made of plastic by the looks of it, and may be discontinued.

These are pics from my 2009 (2010), 205, twin turbo D5. I can't see much from your pictures because the images are too small and pixellate when I enlarge them.

This looks right to me based on what I can see?

30731907 has always been fitted to petrol and diesel engines , It was Metal up to 2004 and plastic after 2005 .Stops snow blowing in and causing the belt to ride over the snow .

If it's the part I think it is, that plastic "guard" has very little protective quality: it's a lightweight bit of plastic with some fairly fragile clips: I'd agree that it seems more to do with keeping the elements out that stopping a flailing belt.
