Default 1972 Volvo 145 Ireland

1972 145 estate. Found in the last two years, in a shed, having been in the same shed, in the same ownership for most of its life. The owner left it for some years while working abroad, hence its ultra-low 64k mileage.

Rolled out and given a full mechanical restoration in the last couple of years. Every gasket, rubber hose and serviceable part of the engine replaced. Every suspension bushing replaced. 4 new tyres.

Body is in great condition, marked, but crucially not rusted through. I like the 'patina' look. Sills etc are solid. Interior is remarkable for its age, in line with the mileage. Mechanically ready for any long journey or daily use.

£6,000

… but Steve, you could buy six Honda Goldwing Aspencades for the same money!

[Apologies to the OP, this is just an amusing aside].

Listed on Done deal for €6,000 (£6,000 =€7,000).
Big hole in the hood, I would call that rusted through.
No views of engine bay, does it even run?

Oh ye of little faith..........the car is in daily use, just returned from a joyous weekend trip to the Shannon estuary, about 200km or so. Apart from a blow in the exhaust and a complaining wife it was delightful.

I've just seen that there've been many comments on this sale in another thread, a bit disappointing, I would have been happy to answer any queries here.

@Steve - After 4 extremely honest videos, listing the cars faults, I did say I'd bring it to any mechanic of your choosing to put it on a ramp for you. If it's not for you , it's not for you though.

@Bob - Your in Dublin, your welcome to come take a look anytime.

As it happens I've gotten a bit carried away ordering parts for this car. I've someone interested, coming to view this week. If he doesn't take it this week, it's the favourite of my friends for a European rally in late September.
