The intake air goes through a turbo that is many hundreds of degrees celsius, wouldn't worry too much about some air in the engine bay being warm, plus it goes through an intercooler. I seriously doubt you would lose 10hp, you might not gain anything right enough. Nice car btw

Thanks everyone, the colour is 'coral red' btw (not gay pink lol). Good to hear that the lacquer is good on this colour - my last 960 (in Nautic blue) was a horror story with it peeling all over.

Had a few problems (at my end) arranging collection but its looking like this weekend now The S40 has been sold already, which means the S70 can slip straight into its new home on the drive.

I think that's the same colour as my V70. Yes, it's worn well, I had a bit of lacquer peel on the wing mirror covers and the spoiler, but had that sorted cheaply and all good now. The red colour doesn't seem to fade in the sun like so many red pigments do, so I got a perfect colour match when I had some re-spraying done. Superb quality original Volvo paintwork helps a lot!

Sadly the collection has been deferred to Monday now!

I've sold my S40 already, and promised the buyer that I'd put a fresh MoT on it as it only had 2 months remaining - I was 99% sure it'd fly through... which it almost did. It failed on a broken spring A one inch section had snapped off the bottom - it made no difference to the ride height or the handling, but its still a fail.

I only have space for two cars on my drive - one space is for a landrover which has to be parked on the driveway overnight as an insurance condition, and the other space is for the daily driver - the S40. However with the S40 failing its MoT, it cannot be parked on the street now, and so has to go on the driveway... As I was going to transfer my insurance over from the S40 to the S70, the S70 wouldn't be insured, so that couldn't go on the street either!

So I'm going to have to wait until Monday, when the S40 will have been repaired and have an MoT, so that it can go on the street, and then the S70 can go on the drive!

Its a bit like playing car tetris lol.

I'm gutted tbh - if the S40 had passed its MoT, it would have been collected today and the S70 would have been delivered tomorrow. It was all so carefully choreographed...
