Default Window not opening in one go

Has anyone had issues with the window only goingup or down two inches at a time? I the regulator knackered or does it need some sort of reset?

Not had the issue but it would be helpful to those who might have for you to put your car details, model, engine, gearbox, specification and year in you signature those who can help know.

It’s easy to do and you only have to do it once rather than each time you post.

Have you tried lubricating the runners?
I'd start with a bit of liquid soap on the rubber to see if it's simply caused by friction.

I think you can reset the window by opening the window fully from closed keeping your finger on the button then closing it and it should judder a bit as it fully closes again.

This should hopefully reset the motor.

Do the reset as mentioned above but keep your finger on the button for a few seconds when open and closed.

Tried the reset as above but still no change. Doesnt matter how long you hold the switch, partial or full press, will not go more than about 70mm at any time. Also can catch it out and have it come back down down when it does reach the top.

Car is out of warranty so that is my biggest worry

Try some silicone lubrication spray in the felt runners and seals if that does not help try a battery reset, removing the earth lead from the battery in the cargo area for ten minutes then reconnect it and see it it works then but it sounds more like it is detecting resistance to me so lubrication may work after several sprays and window movements to get it well applied.
