Few months ago, when I removed child car seat from the rear seat of my car I noticed a very similar stain/mark (both in colour and pattern as in the 2nd picture of the OP’s post) on the rear seat of my car, which is also an XC60 with Blonde Nappa seats.
No one else sits in that rear seat apart from my daughter and we always used a child car seat for my child, which means there is no direct contact of the skin with nappa leather and no makeup or sunscreen was involved either. However, I do put a folded clean soft bath towel over the leather seat and the child seat goes on top of the towel in order to protect the nappa leather from any scratches from the base of the child car seat. I am certain that the stain on my car’s seat isn’t caused by any liquid spill as I didn’t find any stains either on the fabric of the child car seat or on the towel and my child drinks from non-spill bottles. What might have caused the stain on my car’s seat still remains a mystery to me!! However, I managed to wipe off most of the stain using wet upholstery wipes; a bit of the stain is still visible if I look at the leather seat at a side angle as the inside edges of the holes in the leather are stained too and couldn’t be cleaned.
