Installed main transmission solenoids SLU SLS SLT on the 5 speed Aisin auto transmission. Waiting for the sealant to dry before refilling. This is the ... 3rd time I'm doing this job. The first time I was smart thinking the solenoid can be cleaned in something like a SeaFoam bath. No luck. The second time I went opening and cleaning the solenoids with a drill bit: transmission working worst than before, surely I went a little too much with the drill (that's the catch with this drill bit cleaning, you never know when it's enough or too much).

Finally went on Ebay and purchased the Rostra solenoids. Working on a DIY video about the steps to replace these (a 50 min. video).

Already have a set of Powetflex bushings fitted to the front wishbones of the car, but I'm thinking of making a set as spares or to sell. Not sure what to do at the minute. Will see where the wind takes me

Spent another £180 on my T5 CEM issue. So, that's £330 and I should get it tomorrow - then it needs to be fitted, then reprogrammed.

My mechanic - the funniest mechanic in the North West of England - says, "No problem pal, I have the kit. Don't worry."

So, I spent a couple of hours looking up quotes for a truck to take said T5 to a place in Nottingham who can reflash the CEM, stick on the original ABS pump and module and then do everything else to it that I want doing.

This car is getting expensive. After it's sorted I'm not going to see much change from £10K if I'm lucky

...and it will still be worth less than I paid for it lol

Oh, took delivery of my latest eBay purchase - a second hand pair of Adidas trainers...the car is costing me so much cash I've resorted to buying second hand shoes.

I bought some lovely second hand Church boots the other day that go well with my second hand cardigans, my second hand lambskin leather jacket and my 1948 fishtail parka.

I fear - with the exception of the car - people will start referring to me as 'Bargain Barnaby' or something else equally repulsive.

You know 'Rose'? She sold me the unused, Hugo Boss, lambskin jacket for £35 - bit of a discount from £700. I guess she hated her husband or bought the wrong jacket. Perhaps, she was too butch.

Yay)))

My new Virgin hub got delivered at 20.12 (is that a bad thing?)

I get to connect it, wait 35 minutes for it to do anything, switch 3 printers to WIFI, 4 phones and 2 laptops, an Ipad, an Ipad mini.

What do these people do exactly?

And my new camcorder needs connecting but I am not doing that as it is only being used for 'other things'.

I need to go the pub. I play good pool.

I am clearly crap with Volvos as I haven't seen Gloria for days. She is in Birkenhead and her 'Brain' (well, technically, someone else's) is en route.

My mechanic is a joker. Who knows what will happen?

So, I am going to play pool, get ****-faced and, hopefully, have a nice time.

I wish you all well, regardless.
