The oil I have is This which meets Toyota IV which is JWS3309, interestingly the slightly dearer oil you linked to isn't Toyota IV according to its data sheet - Mike

Yeah, that's interesting. I sent a message asking if the more expensive stuff *is* JWS 3309 compliant.

I take it your V70 has the 5 speed adaptive tranny? How many miles have you done with the fluid you linked to?

You refill it by pouring it down the dip stuck tube once removing 3.5 ltrs at a time if you do a sump dump. Several times

Hi all
Glad I found this thread as it does answer some of my questions.
I am contemplating buying a v70 estate to use for business, something around the 5k price area, I love automatics but a friend advised me to go manual and reading here about the problems some people have had with auto boxes I was leaning that way, so my question is should I fear an an automatic.
