1987 240GLT auto estate project car
I'm testing the water with this: Its an E plated GLT in red with black leather that has been in a lock up for over 10 years, it's rot free as far as I can see (tailgate aside) .Sills and rear arches are sound and un damaged. The bumpers have a few scuffs. As far as I can see , all of the trim is present, where it is not fitted and I have bought some replacements for some damaged ones.
I acquired it as a non runner, showing 87kmiles , I've replaces the fuel pump and fuel pump relay with Bosch units and she starts, runs and drives, the n/s front caliper has a seized piston. The passenger seat leather has split on the base and the drivers bolster is worn, so I have obtained another set of seats to make up a nice set, door cards and door bins are intact. It needs a bit of paint work to correct some poorly matched work to the drivers side doors, I've got the correct paint (2k) it needs a couple of dents pushing out on the off side.ive given it a quick wash and polish and she cleaned up very well with a deep lustre to the paint. This is A low mileage "survivor" car that would be a good base for a very nice GLT estate, I had great plans for this car, however my busy work schedule is preventing me from getting time to do any more work on her, I'm looking for somewhere near £1200 to cover my costs, and judging by current prices theres plenty of oportunity to turn a tidy profit if you have that in mind. if there's no interest I'll get round to finishing her in time, I feel guilty looking at her every day!! If you are interested in a rare oportunity, give me a call and have a chat, I can't post pictures here but I'll happily send pictures to interested parties after a chat. Regards Mark 07511284461 |

Bit of a bump, since this ad, I've done the cambelt, replaced the seized brake caliper and that's as far as I've got!
As far as I can tell, it'll need the headlamp reflectors fitting, a blow on the exhaust fixing and some tyres to be ready for the mot. Give me a call if interested Mark |
