Today I bought me a set of......
........18" Nebulas!
Haven't collected them yet and no idea what condition they're in as although they look reasonable from the pictures, the photos weren't the best so difficult to be sure but as long as they're not smashed to pieces then I'll be a happy happy man. Ideally would've liked 17" ones but happy to give 18's a try. They'll no doubt make the ride harder but I bet they'll look ace, especially after a refurb! |

Put some pics up after the refurb and who did it.
What 17's are you replacing?

They'll be replacing a set of the standard Orestes wheels which I'll be getting refurbished once the Nebs are done. I'll probably then get some winter tyres for them. I'd toyed with the idea of selling the Orestes but think it's more sensible to keep hold. |

So, collected my new wheels yesterday.
I'm over the moon with them. OK, so I suppose they could be bent or buckled but on the face of it they look quite decent. They've all got a bit of kerb rash and they're all showing a bit of bubbling in places but they're nothing you wouldn't expect from a pair of second hand wheels that are at least 7 years old. As for the tyres - I'd normally scrap any second hand tyres but they seem OK. Two continental sport contact 3 tyres with about 7mm of tread. The other two tyres are relatively new "landsail" tyres. I don't really do budget tyres - I. Sceptical as to how they can knock them out at a fraction of the cost of premium tyres so I'll probably ditch these two ditch finders and buy two new decent tyres instead. |

Nice find! Can't wait to see what they look like once you pop them on your ride.
