Oil Pressure Switch
I have a no oil pressure stop engine warning on my dash (2005 xc90 2.4 163bhp with around 150k on the clock) that appeared on start up. Had been running fine up until then. Changed the oil and filter as it was due and its still there. I have a new switch/sensor to fit as that seemed the next logical and cheapest option but I am struggling to get at it without taking a fair few bits off. For anyone that has changed it what is the easiest way to get at it?
If that doesn't do it I'm guessing its a remove oil pan and clean out PCV but I'm trying my best to avoid that! |

Check the plug and wiring first and see if moving it around turns off the warning light.
D5 oil pressure sensors are normally extremely reliable.
