Default engine cutting out when warm

ive been nattering on about this since i brought the damn car, but after replacing the fuel relay, plugs and alternator its still cutting out when i try and start the car after switching off from a 1mile drive, but today it done it and now i have warning light on the dash.

its the orange light with a sort of triangle in it, i believe it to be the engine light, havent found anyone to check it, is anyone from around the letchworth area who is able to check for me.

the car when through the MOT today and passed with flying colours, as there was nothing wrong with it.

some help please

you could always build your own one....
if you have a multimeter, some wire and 3 paperclips it will cost nothing...
refer to the maintenance section...
cheers

If your engine is indeed the one selected in the subject bit (ie 10v) then your engine doesn't have a MAF sensor to die.

If your air temp sensor went bad, I'm not sure you'd have the problem you have. If your MAP sensor went bad, it would indeed stop your engine. Whether it is likely to only selectively fail, I can't be sure.

i do apparently have a air mass sensor, which these codes are relating to.

http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/...oducts_id=3509

i pressumed it was still called a MAF sensor
