I've recently started getting what I can only describe as acceleration slipping. Typically in the higher gears. When throttle is pressed firmly, the revs shoot up but car does not accelerate as expected. If I lift off peddle and slowly depress, car behaves normally again. Symptoms almost like wheels spinning on ice. This is not a lag. Only experienced on Motorways and dual carriage ways. What are other checks that can be made to establish worn clutch? Car is currently on 136,000 miles. Owned from 70'000
