Question C70 Boot Gas Struts & Door Mirrors

Hi all, got a silly question about the Remote Boot Open and Gas Struts on C70 "99"-

Should the remote boot open on a C70 open 2" when operated ? also when closing it the last 5-6" seem to close a bit fast and with a bit of a bang?

Is this normal or do I need new struts ??

The other thing can you fit electric fold in mirrors to a C70? I know the mirrors on the C70 are a bit of a week point for leeks so I should stay clear of them... just wondering if anyone had done it (if so could you let me Know what you used)

Ta muchly...

Nic

When remote released my bootlid doesn't pop up 2", it justs unlocks so you can lift it. And when you close it, it does slam down the last 9" or so. Whether that's right I'm not sure though, but it's what mine has always done.

The first time the kids closed it I was sure the back window was going to go, closely followed by the bumpers falling off..
