Default '04 V40 1.9d - Idle Probs.....

Since I bought the V40 (model below), I've been aware of an issue with RPM when coming to a stop. Basically, it always drops to around 600 then climbs straight back to 800.

I cleaned (carefully!) the Air-Mass-Sensor a few weeks back with carb-cleaner hoping that would resolve, but no change.

There's no warning lights on. No other symptoms. Mileage is 111k - full volvo service history.

Any ideas???

I've got a similar problem with my 2001 T4, except my revs dont come back up, they stay at 600ish

I dont know if your model has an Idle Control Valve that you could clean...?
