Default Wind Deflectors: ClimAir or Heko or dont bother..

Am thinking of putting wind deflectors on my S40 R Design 2012 (black).

Climair and Heko seem to be the options, unless anyone knows otherwise?

Anyone any thoughts: fitting issues, quality of each etc..

thanks..

Rich

I have used both in the past but neither on my V50.

I used to think team heko were pretty decent until I tried climair. I found climair might not be as pretty to look at as team heko but they are far more effective in displacing rain and wind noise compared to team heko.

I have never used any on the V50 as I have been impressed in how little wind noise you get through the closed window as the wind deflectors can and do push out the window seals slightly which can cause wind noise when the window is closed. Although I daren't open the drivers window when I first drive off after its been raining as the rain water on the roof runs straight inside the door.

tried "heko" ones on my V50
rear ones, distort the rubber window seals @ the top, fall out if you open the window ,even using extra clips they fall out,

front ones "ok" ,as in dont fall out when you open the window,
Do however increase wind noise when traveling down the motorway With the windows closed/open, DO stop the water dripping on you if you do crack the window open

Its the increase in wind noise as to the reason why I have not fitted any to my V50, just have to remember to accelerate quickly before cracking open the window if its been raining

I don't think wind deflectors look right on saloons but I had Heko ones on my Saab 9-5 estate and they worked fine, also got Heko ones on my Daihatsu and work as expected

Agree with you there, personally think wind deflectors look much better on 3dr cars as opposed to 4/5dr.

For me it's about the shape of the car, I think they look fine on estates and SUVs, just something about the sloping of the rear of saloons makes it not look right to me, but each to their own.

You can always try it and see how it looks to you, doesn't have to be a permanent mod.
