Apologies for reviving an old thread but figured daft to start a new one.

After using two or three bottles of rad flush and some Italian tune-ups the car has been behaving itself again until tonight.

There is a definite pattern of it not liking any sort of idling after some light dual carriageway/motorway work.

I've been using it for town trips only for the last two to three weeks, coolant level hasn't moved at all. Fan used to cut in after almost every journey after leaving the car, now I don't hear it cut in at all.

Tonight after a 15-odd mile round trip of dual carriageway then idling for 2/3 minutes the coolant level warning lamp came on again, popped the bonnet and the bottle is empty again.

Topped up to max, drive ten miles home, level is the same.....

Just a quick update, found a coolant hose that doesn't leak unless you pull on it, the one from the bottom of the header tank to the metal pipe at rear of block.

Have one on order so hopefully that might have been the issue.

Just reading through old threads, did this fix your problem?
