This is very very handy for summer. For winter it's pointless for aux heater crowd but gives the functionality to those who saved on heater.
The update just appeared on my existing app.

In your car settings in Sensus you can tick the boxes so that heated seats, heated steering wheel, front and or rear screens and door mirror heaters come on automatically if temperature is low enough for them to be the required on engine start up, I have mine set to come on and it works great, will be even better now with remote start.

Remote Start worked at the second attempt for me. I have various heaters set to come on when it's cold but as I only did the remote start a couple of mins before getting into the car I'm not sure if they came on. If they did come on they certainly didn't stay on after I 'started' the car for driving and they didn't show as 'on' on the central display. However, the sun was shining on the driver's side so perhaps the trigger temperature hadn't been reached to activate the heaters.

If Remote Start had been available when I ordered the car I might not have spent £1,200 on the auxiliary heater. I know it heats things up faster, etc, but at that price you have to wonder if it's worth it now.

I need to play more with RS and pre-conditioning to see how they interact.

It was quite mild this morning so ambient temperature may not have been low enought to switch the heaters on, mine did not come on this morning but have been coming on when cold.

Yes, I have those options ticked (and see small 'A' for auto next to heated seat buttons), but none of them were on or had that auto symbol when I started the car remotely....

Maybe I need to unlock my profile, set those setting and then save (lock) it again.

Or it many not have been cold enough this morning, to come on in auto mode.

Yes I was wondering that, I'm going to go out and try this evening. But even if it wasn't cold enough, do the A symbols not still show? They weren't doing earlier, as if the auto function had been disabled.

Yes I was thinking that too. Will be more interesting when the temp really drops.
