Default XC60 MY22 - voice control button

I have the AAOS system and all was working well until the app update yesterday. Phone was magically unpaired and wouldn’t re-pair. I did a factory reset which resolved the app problem, but since then the voice button on the steering wheel, which used to activate the Google assistant, no longer works.

Anyone know how to fix it..?

The first and easiest thing is to disconnect the battery for few minutes.

DO NOT DISCONNECT THE BATTERY. You’ll cause more problems than it’s worth.

The best thing to do is factory reset the software by holding the home button until the Volvo logo appears.

Never heard disconnecting the battery causing problems!? Any evidence of this statement?

I’ve tried that, but it’s just a soft reset (aka reboot) rather than a factory reset. Guess I’ll have to do it properly again tomorrow.

Hold it past the Volvo logo until it goes black again and that’s a factory reset. I know because I did it last week.

On these new cars there is so much dependent on the electrics it will throw up a load of errors especially the recharge models. A big no no on the newer cars.

Hmm, didn’t work for me. Just rebooted. Factory reset from settings works.
