2007 XC90 4.4 V8 Gearbox issue at 1700 RPM?
2007 XC90 4.4 V8 Gearbox issue at 1700 RPM?
Anyone in past have an sudder at 1700RPM mostly in 3rd gear during acceleration? Heard of some issues on D2.4 eariler models. Before going into speak to garage I won't like to do my research. I found a few past subjects but not for this issue. (If I missed another post pls stear me to such, many thanks ) |

I'd check the CV and UJ's on the propshaft - it's the same gearbox as in the 2006MY and later D5's (but different final drive ratio and software).

Automatic gearbox? Could be slipping torque converter

Hi, I suffered this about two years ago. It seems to happen about 50-60 mph for me. It threw up transmission codes tcm 002f at the same time as well as limp mode.
It was accompanied by losing coolant for no reason. In my case the gearbox oil, cooled in the nearside of the rad, had a coolant leak and it appears I had coolant leaking into the gearbox oil via the rad. There was no evidence of this in the gearbox oil itself but on advice from forum members I replaced the rad (nissens) and gave the gearbox a full flush. Since then, I have had no problems with the torque converter or gearbox. The key indicator was loss of coolant. Hopefully this is not your problem.
