I did get a tracker the other day, but the app that came with it is a nightmare. So went for this. Their built in SIM is £5 per month though. Handy as it had more flexibility and can hide it easier in the motor. |

fitting sim to 2018 xc60
Morning all, am kind of new to this tech and have a couple of quick questions.
Can I take that I just purchase the sim and the insert into the slot in the central cubby-hole. What happens then ? Does the car immediately recognise it and how does it re-act, eg does it automatically hook up and automatically provide "over-the-air services" ? Thanks in anticipation |

fitting sim to 2018 xc60
'interesting' update. Sim due today so went to check-out sim holder situation.
Had previously assumed it was in the cubbyhole between the front seats. Turns out these a are 2x usb connections. On looking at the manual the holder is behind a small flap on side passenger footwell and you take out holder from a slot, insert sim and replace. Except I can't; when I opened the flap the inside was empty ! looks like a trip to dealer to suss out a retro-fit. Hope that's no too costly ! |

It was standard on the 'Pro' trim models but otherwise it was part of the 'Volvo On Call with App' option which cost £550 at the time. If your car doesn't have the option then sadly you may be out of luck as retro-fitting this option isn't included in the Volvo Accessories catalogue where upgrades are featured.
