Default Drive Shaft

I have a 2003 V70R auto which I love.
The rear drive shaft carrier seems to have collapsed land I need to replace it. Apparently the advice from Volvo is to replace the drive shaft and carrier complete…but…. Volvo don’t supply this part anymore.
Anyone had experience of this, any advice pls???? Parts For Volvo on line can’t supply either.

Agree with the last reply. If you google it then there are specialists out there that can refurb/repair driveshafts.

I have been very lucky and found a new drive shaft and carrier made and supplied by Bailey Morris LTD. Excellent service and very knowledgeable… highly recommended. Price was very reasonable

Worth knowing about... I had an issue with Drivers side front drive shaft ( unique to S60R/V70R) and was told there were 31 on back order. Then somehow one appeared from "Sweden" These cars are stating to have part supply issues.

Cheers

Its mad with the parts situation on what many still consider to be "Modern" cars.

I bought ODM driveshafts via ebay but don't seem to be listed anymore. Contact number available at https://odmeurope.com/#contact. Don't know if they can help though.
