240 General: How many left - the list

Here is the list which I obtained from DVLA earlier this year. As you can see it is not terribly informative beyond actual numbers left. The figures on the left I think are just part of their system. This is followed by the model type as recorded on the V5 logbook, numbers taxed then numbers declared SORN.
The repetition of the commoner model types I imagine reflect different stages of the production run.
If you feel your car is not featured here then maybe further request could be made.
It was relatively simple. Go to DVLA website and find the Freedom of information section, from there you can download a request form. Fill it in and send it off by post, with your email address, and they will contact you to clarify what you want and what they can actually do. Not much as it turned out this time. You then wait about 5 weeks for the info.
There is a campaign being run to get all government collected data to be fully accessible to all without charge, after all we've paid for it to be collected, it should be free to look at. I know the Guardian Newspaper is part of that campaign, can't remember other details at moment.

I would be interested to know if any of our friends in the States can extract more information through their Freedom of Information Act which I believe is much more robust.
