It was a brilliant first bkv, and shock-horror, sarah (my gf) even enjoyed it!!! She is comming round to the idea of a volvo!!! Woo...but a MY12 c70 convertible -_-

I also have an idea of what to get sorted on my purple 460 bumpers are up next...if anyone has a "hockey stick" (bit that is just under the headlight where the wiper arms poke through) and could hold onto it till the end of july for me would be much appreciated

I really enjoyed the BKV. The best one I have been to.

Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers - it was a real success.

Brian's idea of wearing a name badge worked really well, I'm going to do that next year and would encourage others to do the same!

Liking your car and your friends.Is his one of the early ones just after Volvo bought daf?
I know very little about the history.

Really enjoyed attending my first BKV, many thanks to the people organising and all the volunteers etc.

Great to catch up with fellow enthusiasts I know already and meet new faces.

Will definitely be along next year, and I will be in my 240 this time, rather than my daily driver MB, with a name badge and everything.

Thanks Roo for providing directions in for the last couple of miles anyway - I saw your 244 on the dual carriageway and followed you in rather than relying on satnav! The car looked good on the move.

Yes, the first 343s were introduced in 1977, so my 1979 is a pretty early one, the first year where manual transmission was available. As far as I know, it's the oldest one on the road in the UK.

Glad I could be of assistance. The same happened with an Amazon too. Slowed and indicated for me to overtake, then followed me to the show. Trouble is, I was following him! So some quick map checking kept me on the right route. I don't think anyone noticed lol.
