I have just managed to get my new car ready in time. It's a bit of a state and some of the panel gaps aren't perfect. The wheels are slightly illegal as they stick out past the arches slightly.
Looking forward to some sideways drift action over the weekend just hope the tyres will last.

Regards Brian.
Just checked and the tax is still current so looking forward to seeing it and you there. Might need a tiny fella to judge it though?

Default Caravan parking

Is there any one on site that can say how wet/dry the area for caravans is ?
Also has it turned into a bog , due to the rain ?
As I am thinking of brining the van up.

Thanks Roger.

Well just to update this. An amazing amount of cars turned out despite the weather reports saying it was going to be wet. It wasn't and hopefully there was enough to keep everyone occupied.

I managed to meet so many nice people today who spotted my name badge! Yes I think the idea of a username badge is well worth having. All sorts of weird people came up to me and said "Hello Brian nice to finally meet you" To which I replied "So you are?". See no badge no idea who it is. Very easy to mock one up and for ten plastic badge holders it's only a quid from the pound shop.

Pictures will follow later. Not that many of cars I'm afraid as I spent so long talking to members etc.

Bought a few bits and pieces really cheap.
Sadly didn't win the raffle,,,Suprise surprise Lol.

A seriouse change in recent years as there were at least 8 340 compared with one maybe two.Even 700 series are growing in numbers. We even had two 200 series bertone coupes. I think we had three PV 444 types. about six P1800. And even the invited club of daf was nice to see.We had a spattering of cars from overseas as well.

Not sure how many NON members parked in the line ups but hopefully quite a few. Cannot imagine why so many Volvo's were parked in the general car park though? Please let me know by PM why you chose not to join in as I'm interested.Your choice of coarse but a real shame as most were very well cared for cars old and newer models. Didn't get time to walk over to them and to be honest there wasn't any owners near them to talk about them so not much point.

Nice to see some well known names from here that give so much inspiration to others John H and Steve being just two.The cars look even better than the pictures.

A big thank you for all the judges and marshalls and all that put so much into making it so successful.

Regards Brian.

well we did our first bkv
lovely choice of cars
great venue and the weather just about held
we took our 240 torslanda and 240 glt saloon and when we got to the entrance tent we said we were non members and were specifically sent to the left and not allowed to park with the owners club 240s
at one point in the naughty corner were another 2 240 estates as well.
couple of observations and not criticisms
the field was big and the cars/classes could have been a lot closer together

has anyone thought of putting the admin tent dealers/autojumble altogether in the middle of the show and having all the classes parked around it?
it might have the effect of a more close knit show
thanks to all who organised as its a thankless task

Can I apologise for this happening as I was told ALL Volvo's members or not would be allowed to park together. This came from the top brass so somebody is getting the wrong info.It happened last year and I took it up with the top who said things had changed and that ALL yes ALL were allowed in.

Not happy now as it looked like a good show.

Sorry you made the effort to come but were shown little respect.

Time to start nagging again.

Unbelievable and yes I am not at all happy. Anyone else who was told to park else where please let me know by pm who it was who directed you away.

Regards Brian.

I apologise for sounding so negative but having now heard variouse accounts I believe there was a misunderstanding.See later posts.
