Oil Level Low after Service S60
Last month I got my 2012 S60 D3(163) serviced, this was the first time it was done at local independent mechanic rather than a main dealer. I am working from home at the moment and haven't driven it much. A couple of days after the service an alert came on the dash to add oil. Then after some more driving the electronic oil level said it was 3/4 full so I did not take anymore notice.
The last couple of days it is now saying it is low again. I spoke to the mechanic who did the service and he thinks he should add more oil. I am slow to do this as I am not convinced the oil is actually low. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it. Thanks Last edited by MOC12; Nov 26th, 2020 at 12:14. |

I also had the same problem on the last service with a Volvo dealer. I took it back to them and they did sort it, but it was still a 20 mile drive each way and almost 2 hours of my time because they didn't do the most basic service item of put the correct amount of oil in! I got some excuse about they might have thought it was a newer VEA engine and that takes less oil. Personally given my D5 5 cylinder engine has been around for so long they are saying they didn't recognise it not with standing what is on the job sheet and also the computer system when it is plugged.
