The Swede kit is an adjustable coilover option to replace the Nivo's no leafspring in it. Nivo and non Nivo composite leaf springs are NLA from Volvo and I very much doubt aftermarket ones are produced

The car does indeed have the composite "leaf" spring. Thanks to all who've taken their time to respond and look up whether nivos or not.I had no particular plans as to whether it was a keeper or not but as the cheapest option seems to be the classicswede damper/spring units which although I'm not doubting their value for money would at £350 odd the pair would cost more than 50% of the price I paid for the car so not going to happen. Therefore the car will be a short termer then I'll chop it in against something else or just sell it and put just a little more mileage on my other two cars.

Just had a weird thought. Some time back i was investigating the possibility of an air suspension conversion then while researching that, came across what are often called air assister springs. Usually these are hollow rubber tubes that are inflated by an on-board compressor or external airline and basically just help the original springs. Not sure on cost but might be an option if cheap enough.

Interesting thought the self levellers fitted to the rear of some Omegas are air fed from a pump in the front wheel arch.I'll have to check out respective lengths/fittings and see if it can be done.
