managed to get seats from 2012 model, electric drivers seat only, came without seat module as breaker sells separate. Bought one from e bay at £16 fitted it, fitted seat and electric seat works fine so far even the seat memory buttons, haven't sussed out the heated seat yet, think it requires telling by Volvo. but local dealer, who has been very helpful, if it was fitted when new then Volvo won't supply upgrade program. Reading wiring diagram, its Canbus controlled somewhere along the line.

Just to clarify - do you mean that Volvo wont supply the S/w for the car if the 'part' wasnt fitted when new?

If so, find a different dealer as that is not true.

I have had several pieces of Sw loaded into my car for parts that were not part of the std. spec incl. reverse cam and LED DRLs.

Steve, Just to confirm before I buy, but to add electric seats to a 2009 active is easy as take out old ones and plug in the new ones. Only want the electric seats to work, if the heating element can also work with the switch added to the dash, that would be a bonus.

Trawling through the threads about seats and come across this. Thinking about doing this swap as well. Any info appreciated.

Cheers.

What do you want to do not already discussed, the change out works? There is a guy in FB, the XC90 group who can get the heated seats to work, but it costs.
