Default V90 Owner's "Manual"

I need a little help here.
I persuaded a close friend to buy a 2018 V90 R-Design (bad idea - I am SO jealous now!) The only problem with it is that it didn't come with a handbook, and being new to Volvos, he is a bit lost.
Ebay has quite a few s/hand 'manuals' on sale, but they are all titled "Supplement to Owners Manual". Is this the full, thick handbook like mine, or is it indeed 'supplementary', in which case, where can we buy the actual manual - the proper owner's instruction handbook?

Isn't it all on the car, via the central screen, or downloadable from Volvo's website? They don't do physical handbooks any more.

Sorry, I meant an actual paper book - my friend doesn't do on-line (which is why I'm writing this on his behalf).
If, as you say, Volvo don't do 'books' anymore then what is the "supplementary" manual supplementary to? That's quite a turnaround from the thick tombs they provided in the past!
I think I'm with the technophobes on this one.

My dealer moaned that some "old chap" insisted that they print out the entire manual for him. That's over 700 pages. You could always print it out for your friend.

When did they stop producing them? I got one with my previous V90 in April 2017. I kept it when I got my present one last March. I remember having a fair old tussle with the salesman when he wanted to charge me £20 for it. It was late in the negotiations but I just dug my heels in and refused to play ball. It still appeared on the final invoice but the final cost to me remained what had been agreed.

I was 70 at the time so I don't doubt that he thought worse than "old chap"

I'm wondering if any modern Volvo or indeed any hi tech brand is suitable for a technophobe?? There are so many 'systems' on these cars.

There are technophobes and technophobes.
I'm using this post to try and work out how to add car details etc at the foot of a post.

Looks like I've failed

You need to click User CP at the top of the page, then click on Edit Signature on the left hand side. Type your details in to there and then click on Save Signature.

From the Volvo on line support page,

"A printed owner's manual and associated supplement can be ordered. Contact a Volvo dealer to order".

Normally the car wallet contains a Quick Guide, Supplementary Handbook and the Service Booklet. Going by the above it would appear to suggest that you would get the on-line version as well as the supplement.

Probably the best thing to do is contact a dealer for advice

The supplement to owners manual does give quite a bit of info to find your way around the car. Practical stuff like fuse locations, changing bulbs, replacing wiper blades etc, Also the hand book is built into the car and can be viewed in the centre screen. To open the manual, drag down from the top of the screen and this should show you settings and owners manual, tap on owners manual and it will guide you through the menu. Hope this helps you a little, if all else fails get onto the dealer and get a manual ordered from Volvo.

Skip. 68. V90 R Design D5 AWD.
