Default problem after cylinder head change

right bit of a long one but hopefully you can help ?
a few weeks back the crankshaft pulley gave up and shredded the aux drive belt which then got into the timing belt causing it to jump and total the cylinder head . eventually i sourced a good head [euro3] had it decoked and pressure tested and checked for face true . fitted with all new gaskets bolts ect . got it started yesterday teatime but engine wouldn;t rev over 3.5k . today i checked all vacuum pipes and induction pipe all ok so looked a little deeper and decided to check timing belt marks lined up correctly and they were .
engine now revs while parked will rev ok up to red line . great fixed or so i thought . went to drive away uphill and no power for a few seconds then it blew the intercooler to the ally elbow pipe off . so back on drive and took all pipes off to make sure nothing blocking . back together and try again now drives a little better but not right into drive press accellerator pedal nothing for a few seconds then its as if things come to life and car goes . still not right but a little better
back onto drive and try revving in P and its ok apart from iv'e noticed that the 2 intercooler pipes are expanding a lot and i can say i have never noticed them doing it before and prior to belt failure car drove mint .
any suggestions please . i will gladley try any given
i was going to put it onto vida but thats stopped working [see post for vida help]

Sounds like you might have a boost pressure control problem - which is usually an easy and simple fix.

But you'll need VIDA to monitor the pressure when driving.

I'd start by checking wiring to all the sensors on the intake system and MAF & MAP.

Thanks for reply I've checked all induction pipes , cleaned the M.A.F .
I've ordered a vacuum tool to measure vacuum at the turbo control valve and boost control valve. Turbo is boosting at higher revs as I can see the inter-cooler pipes expand ...

You need to check that the turbo inlet guide vanes are moving freely and fully when you exercise the control. If not, the vanes are probably coked up, which will cause overboosting. Fix by removing and cleaning, or more practically, replacing the turbo.

I can't personally understand why this would occur . Prior to the timing belt jump the car ran spot on with No power issue's what so ever .... but I'll check them just to see what they are loke
