Keep your spares wrapped in foil and your main in a pouch or box lined with foil.

I keep my main in a faraday bag at night usually but i have added extra foil as it's not the best quality bag.

They cost so very little, and it can't hurt can it.

Hi Nu11eaf, are you referring to a so-called jammer which jams the fob signal and prevents the car actually locking or some other type of device?

It may be a jammer that I read about. Which also prevents the immobiliser setting.

I saw that happen to a friend. We met up for 5-a-side football as usual, came back and his car was empty but no sign of break in. Got the CCTV from the car park and saw a van 2 rows back pull up behind when we walked away and just open the boot! Learnt quickly from that one to always double check.

To be honest it works very well in the first few weeks but then it rapidly wears out and it stops blocking the signal.
At the beginning, if I had the key in side the Faraday bag, the car wouldn't open or start.
It still reduces the range the signal works but it does not block it completely anymore.
I’m pleased you posted this. I thought I was going mad as my faraday pouch stopped working. I was getting into my car in the morning. Driving away and discovering the key in the pouch in my pocket when I got to work. Not ideal.

I am using a faraday tin after several pouches stopped working.. It is larger, looks better and will hopefully last longer.

Blockr Keyless car key signal blocker box Keyless Entry Fob Signal Anti Theft Protector. £25.99 Amazon.

Tried a Faraday pouch worked but cumbersome. Purchased one of these from Amazon, much better.

It blocks the signal from your keyfob so car is not secured.
