  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Hi there all. Just like to offer my services to any members who would like a rustproofing treatment carried out on their pride and joy.

Don't be so sure Bob. Don't forget that the improvements in corrosion resistance are fairly recent. There are plenty of the older cars that need rust proofing. My 1800s will be getting a going over when the weather warms up a bit more. It's just a pity this lot are too far away for me.

Quite right Andrew, 80's and 90's Volvos are pretty good, my personal ownership experience being limited to the 140 I now own and the 240 estates I have had in the past. However we appear to be taking a backwards step regarding corrosion resistance. All manufacturers are now using water based paint systems that are inferior to the old two pack poly paints, just ask your average Merc E class owner. We are going to see alot more rusty cars on the road (or in the breakers yard) in the next few years.

I'm very interested in this. I've already lost two 340s to the dreaded tinworm, yet can't seem to find anyone local who will undertake rustproofing.
