Volvo specialist in the Midlands?

I highly recommend C P Motors, Polesworth, Nr. Tamworth.

Here's why:-

I realised that my tax was due and decided to prepare my paperwork one Friday morning and got a nasty surprise when I discovered that my MOT had expired 2 months previously!

My V70 SE D5 was close to its 72K mile service. I'd already planned to use C P Motors after reading other forum members' recommendations and discovering that they wanted £100 less than TMS Coventry and TMS Hinckley (both good garages) for the same Volvo service schedule using genuine Volvo parts, so I gave C P Motors a call at 10:35 and explained my predicament and they couldn't have been more helpful.

I drove immediately to their garage with my driving license and certificate of motor insurance, completed all the relevant paperwork and drove away in a loan car. The only stipulation was that I had to replace any fuel that I used.

They called me the following Monday at lunch time to tell me that the car had been fully serviced and that, after a thorough inspection, a couple of parts on my front suspension were worn and may fail the MOT.
The car passed the MOT (but with said suspension parts noted on the advisory). However, I had already agreed for C P Motors to carry out the repairs which they did in time for me to collect my car at 5pm.

It's the little things that make me happy.

• They understood my predicament and really wanted to help
• They offered a free loan car at very short notice
• They serviced the car to full Volvo spec. including little things like adjusting the handbrake and smoothing out the gear change which had, at times, become a bit stiff.
• They picked up on potential repair work before the MOT.
• They got everything done and dusted in a day and had time to clean my car before I picked it up at 5pm.

Wonderful service. Top marks to C P Motors!!!!!!

Paul A Wenlock is the guy I use. Not quite in the Midlands though, but very good and a real nice guy. He's at Bloomsbury garage just outside Newport. Google him for details.

i have been to C. P. Motors. for a service and what a nice bunch of people. rang on the monday, car went in on the wednesday, they also provided a courtesy car. picked my car up and drove to france on the thursday. they even washed it for me.

price was £106 cheeper than the main dealler (stratstone derby)

This the guy with the BTCC looking T5?Small garage next to the pub by the island at co op?
If so whats he charging for cam belt and head gasket changes?
Could all of you post quotes that you have been given and what for so we can all work out whos the cheapest and most reliable to go to.

thats te fella, and the garage is not that small, its only the driveway/entrance that is small, think "The Tardis" :-)

As for cheapest, well if Nic was slightly more than someone else i would still use him cause i trust him.

I did not mean it as in cheap cheap,I ment it as in whos cheap and gives good advice and a quality service (I'm lyin,my car has that much trouble I need it cheap lol)(joking),Oh yea I agree with you on the trust issue and paying the little more for that assurity,(I would prefer that).
Been meaning to pop in to see him as I go past every Friday,His car is very very nice!!and that is what made me notice him.
