Default Old light REAR light clusters.. do they fit facelift cars?

I've been driving around obliviously with a rear LED brake light which is either very DIM or simply doesnt work at all, which is exceptionally annoying as there is no "warning" message to inform of this.

Anyone know if I can connect the old pre-facelift rear light clusters so that I can I have filament bulb headlamps?

Post facelift headlamps have a seperate wire with plug connector that specifically runs to the LED brake lights, so wondering if I can wire this into the old shape?

if they Physically fit is one thing, the other is the wires in the car, and the body control module that looks after them,

After messing around with various LED replacement bulbs which either threw bulb out codes or were too dim, I gave up and went back to incandescent. I did ask the same question the other way around in a couple of places but never did get a definitive answer and so far haven’t found a pair at a price to match my experiment budget.

As for the physical fit - I can only confirm that FL V50 tail lamps does NOT fit the pre-FL cars - the only way to fit them is to change bumper aswell. I can only guess its similar issue with S models.

Cant say much about wiring and sockets but Im almost certan it wont fit without some DYI..

EDIT - apart from "if it fits",would you really want the pre-FL lamps on your car? IMHO those are hideous and that reverse round light on my V50 lamps is a sore eye aswell, would change them to FL in a split second if I could...

To be honest, I think they're both hideous. The facelift lights make the rear boot look even taller than it is, especially as I have the shopping trolley spoiler as well.

Though I am biased as I'm used to the rear of the S60 which is lower, wider and nicer looking imho!

Only want the old lights due to no LED brakelights.

OK gotcha, personal preferences.
Assuming those fit and you manage to even wire it properly - will the car have no issue with different ressitance of bulbs etc? I mean, not sure if FL models have brake light bulb warning, as pre-FL, but if it does - im pretty sure you would have to sort out this problem aswell somehow...

Obviously its your choice, but all above seem like a lot of hassle just to downgrade (otherwise a good idea) LED brake lights. Did you totally give up on sorting out your current problem?
