In the process of fitting a spoiler to mine when i bought it it comes with sticky pads already fixed to the spoiler so that when you put it on it gives a waterproof seal.

If you have a New spoiler and these pads haven't already been used, you can peel off the protective covering on them and use them as templates, this is what i did on mine and the holes line up perfectly, then refit them over the sticky pads until fitting.

Should fit mine this week, ill try and take some photo copies of them to scale and post them up as templates for those who have second hand spoilers they are trying to fit.

Genuine spoilers have a single bolt and a recessed nut on either side.
After-market spoilers have two bolts either side and do not come with any sticky pads etc.
I have fitted both and I would recommend going for the genuine spoiler which you buy in the same colour as the vehicle.
After-market products are much poorer in quality and finish and require more work to finish them off such as a little filler and of course, paint/lacquer.

Good luck!

i priced both up for my v50 and in the end it was cheaper for me to buy oem spoiler .by the time you pay for the spoiler, delivery and painting its just as cheap to buy oem ...correct colour match and all the idiot fitting guide template and all that !!!

oem spoiler £140

hi guys
i have attched the templates

the only thing that you have to make sure is that they are printed to scale as i have realised that when i printed them to test came out littlebit smaller.

use an old printer should be ok.

Hi,

I'm from France, and looking for the V50 roof spoiler fitting templates. It seems you attached them just above, but I can't download them. Can you send it by PM or mail?

It is for my Black V50 T5 AWD.

Best regards from France,

Paul.
