Newbie with 2001 S60
Hello all, I have just joined this site, and firstly, hope this thread is in the right place! I thought I would introduce myself and my car.
I bought my first modern (ish) Volvo about a year ago, and have loved it so far! It was a 2001 S60 2.0T with 80,000 on the clock, and a full service book. I've always loved large fast saloons, and especially liked the S60's body styling with the swage line running down to the rear lights. I've loved Volvos ever since my parents had a 940 2.3 LPT in the 90's, and I seem to have inherited a love of them from my old man. Before I bore you all to death, here's some pictures of my car history (I've had 12 cars in 6 years- I get bored easily!) But here's some of my favorites: 1989 Volvo 360 2.0, my first experience of RWD, a great (and very cheap!) car 1984 Toyota Celica Supra 2.8i. What a car, still regret selling this. 1988 BMW 525. Another good car, an a great 6 cyl howl at high revs. And finally I suppose I had better talk about my Volvo S60. This is how I bought it in April 2011. Since then I have done some work on it, I changed the cambelt, sorted a noisy ARB link, did a fairly major service and bought some shiny bits. such as... with this tailpipe. MIJ performance stainless cat-back exhaust. It's not loud but it sounds lovely, and the tailpipe was picked to be as close to original as I could. Then the wheels turned this colour.. and then these arrived ready for fitting when I have a mo... 305mm, drilled and grooved. So, as she stands after a good clean today.. I have some plans for it in the future, such as a remap, and some coilovers/uprated shocks and springs to tighten up the handling, and maybe some bigger/dishier wheels to fill the arches more. Apart from that, just enjoying it is high on my agenda! Hope I haven't bored everyone with my rambling, and I can see me using these forums regularly. Cheers, Phil |

Very nice Phil, and it's the same colour as the one I have recently bought, and I do think the wheels look good, were they a DIY job or professionally done?

Thanks , they were a DIY rattle-can job, but done properly. IIRC it was a Rover colour, but they came out great.
