Default Indicator relay.

A convenience found on many modern cars is the ability to simply touch the indicator stalk and the indicator flashes 2 or 3 times. Very useful when overtaking as otherwise you have to hold the indicator stalk down for several seconds.

Does anyone know whether it is simply a matter of replacing the indicator relay? And if so, do they know the part number of such a relay?

Suitable for a late (2004) V40 1.9D.

Thanks

Yes it does exist: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=75515 It requires some extra wiring.

But I made it myself: http://www.elektronik.si/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=29601

Thank you Sebaveh,

So, they are called ‘Comfort Flasher Units’!

I can see I have two choices:

1. Study and obtain degrees in a) Technical Drawing and b) Electronics

or

2. Buy a ready-made kit.

I think I’ll try the ready-made kit, it would appear that Volkswagen at least make one.

But I’m being facetious Sebaveh, I admire your knowledge and skills.

Thanks again,

UTC
