and tut tut yourself, no matter what they drive, they are still a person that has been ripped off by some scumbag. The police are involved and are investigating, but paypal refuse to help unless a court order is issued, nice to know they will take our money for using their service but wont lift a finger when something like this happens. |

They give out gmail addresses to anyone, not just scammers you know. When you joined this forum, did you have an automatic history? Building up trust and respect is a slow process and generally takes someone to take a risk, its a shame there are people out there like this guy making it difficult for genuine people to be trusted. |

You have no history on this site other than offering to sell HID kits. You come straight in and thats your first post. no hello, i have a volvo, this is me etc and participate within the forum structure. This thread is about a scam on various sites from a new member with no history offering parts for sale and then ripping people off. On first view there are a few similarities, we cannot know further from any of the posts....hence why we are talking about this. Either you are a good trader or you are not, we on this site do not know. If you are good, then join in the discussions rather than being offended by scams that have the potential to affect us all. Obviously i'm taking offense at "certainly looks like one" - talk about jumping the gun.
Internet security is a problem that affects everyone and there are no hard and fast rules, if everyone took maximum precautions then the internet would cease to be a place of trade full stop. Anyway, enough about me, i shall prove myself in time. I hope they catch this guy and give him what he deserves, although i highly doubt it. |
