Default rear windscreen wash pipe routing

My newly acquired 745 turbo ( 402 colour) has a big rust patch on the inner o/s top corner. Look like the pipe that feeds the rear screen wash has been dripping( for 20 years) . Where does it go ? Is it down the D pillar or along the inner roof section? The pipe is detached. I probably run a single length of pipe from the pump to the rear screen .

I'm guessing this is an estate. The 940 runs below the window and then up the D pillar, behind the tool kit roughly. The check valve is there.

Default washer pipe

I have a late 940 estate and it comes from the pump through the bulkhead just above the ecu where there is a join which leaks if the jet is blocked and you get a wet floor it then runs along under the inner sill cover and up the piller along to the rear tailgate. I moved the join to the engine compartment so if it happens again it wont drown the Ecu that was 5 years ago and it still ok.

On all the cars I've had it was routed vertically down the inside of the D-pillar bodywork and horizontally underneath the tool tray and then over the wheel arch.

If you take it gently you can remove the whole of the spray head from the back of the tailgate and even take it further apart. If you want I can post some pics I have (somewhere!!).
