Tailgate trim removal

I need to remove the trim from the upper tailgate, (the plastic not the fabric). Can I just remove that piece or is it a more detailed strip down? Any tips?

It’s fairly easy but from memory you have to remove the lower part first.

Screws in the handle etc.

I found that most of the clips on the top part broke as I removed it, they are a two part clip so you would be wise to order some from your dealer before you start. Part no 30653441. You need 8 or 10?
