Default Strange Locking Issues

Hi All

Wonder if anyone's come across these faults before?

I have a 2003 S60 D5 SE with 336,000 miles on the clock, which has started exhibiting some strange behaviour with regards to its locking system.

A couple of weeks back I noticed that when shutting any door or the boot all the other door locks would make a click sound, like they were trying to unlock even though they already are unlocked.

This has been followed by the drivers door mirror either going all the way up or all the way down then clicking on its stops for about five seconds. I tried resetting the memory on my seat but it still does this.

And today I've noticed the indicators flash when unlocking but do not flash when locking, even though everything is locked?

So, not the biggest problems in the world admittedly but annoying nonetheless.

Have any of you come across these problems all at once before?

Thanks for any help

Wayne

That's generally a sign that the car thinks something is open. In my case the broken tailgate glass, which is part of the intrusion system, caused exactly that symptom.
The earth wire from the tailgate glass has been known to go open. The bonnet switch is another suspect, generally revealed if a good slam changes things.

Top Man. Went out to it and although the bonnet appeared perfectly shut I picked it up, gave it a good slam, and all well in the land of Vin (my kids call him Vin Diesel)

Thanks very much for that
