Can I ask, isn`t this simply a different value resistor on the intake air temperature sensor, (on the petrol engines anyway) thereby tricking the ECU into advancing the ignition?

i have had these tuning boxes on volvos that i have owned, and on both occasions it would be fair to say that they are the fun factor,i have yet to find on all the manufacturers web pages a DYNO plot for these items to back up the facts that they put.
i am willing to try one of your modules free of charge off course take the car for a dyno run and see what the fgures that are claimed actually are, i will off course pay for this test my self and return the module back to you .

Hi Mike,

I would suggest starting by putting the 'power' dial on 50 and setting the 'Low/Medium' dial to 0. I would then suggest by working your way up from there to what ever you are happy running the car at. You will notice the optimum running combination.

To achieve 'Medium Power' I would suggest setting the Power to '60' and the Low/Medium dial to '40'.

To achieve 'High Power' I would suggest by setting the Power to '80' and the Low/Medium dial to '50'.

However, as mentioned above, I would start by setting Power to '50' and Low/Medium to '0'.

Hope that helps,

Thanks,

Hi Mike,

Meant to ask - which D5 do you have?

Do you know what you are running bhp stock? Is it the 163bhp engine?

I can then tell you what you are expecting to get with the module in place. That way then you can tell me if I'm right or wrong,

Cheers,

James

Interested in knowing what these settings do?.

My last chip had 9 individual settings which you'd just push down a plastic tab below each number. Only one number used at a time, not a combo like yours.

Got any photo's of these boxes?
