Default Key Fob Replacement / Spare Key Fob - Surrey

For anybody who is in the Surrey area and needs a spare key fob supplied and coded, I can recommend Surrey Auto Locksmith.

( www.surreyautolocksmith.co.uk 07783 630237 )

My newest XC70 only came with one key, so I wanted another for peace of mind, plus I wanted the missing one deleted from the car's memory just in case...

My local Volvo dealer quoted £380 to supply and code the key, which I thought excessive so I looked for another solution, ending up finding the chap above. He is based in Woking, but comes to you in his van. He seems to cover all areas from Woking down to Sussex and up to South London.

It took about an hour, he removed the missing key from the car coding, replaced with the new one and all is good.

Cost was £220, which while still expensive for what is a glorified car key, is a significant saving on the main dealer pricing.
