Breaking 1999 V70 10V auto plus other parts

Hi all

I have mostly stripped a 1999 V70 10V auto
Paint code 421-46 (green)
Registration T843LGP
Engine: B5252S R5 2.5L
170 k miles

Interior (beige plastic and grey velour) is completely trashed.
Head gasket blown and sealed by previous owner. Ran OK on short test drive.
Auto box seemed OK.
Throttle cable removed
Right front wing damaged

Happy to sell all sorts of parts (from this car and other phase 1 V70 and C70s) at reasonable prices.

In West Cornwall but occasionally come up to London

A long shot, I'm after part 1366780, a small oil cap fitted at the bottom of the block. Part 23 & 12 in the image?

I don’t suppose you know what sort of condition the front shocks are in? I’m after a pair to replace some coil overs but must be good knick

Yes I have that cap. Just under the main crankshaft pulley.

I am slightly reluctant to take it off because I will then have to deal with the oil !

The shocks look original (1999) so probably not worth putting on another car.

I've been looking for a while, not an easy part to get hold of, discontinued by Volvo Classic Parts. I can get one from the US, but $80 is a bit much for what is a £30 part new! If it helps, taking it off will only drop about 300ml of oil....

Appreciate, thanks. Oddly enough, on a non turbo engine it serves only as an oilway. On the turbo cars it is replaced by an oil thermostat which then connects via a pair of leaky hoses to the radiator, where it has a small cooling section. It is not considered necessary with modern fully synthetic oils, and on the post 1999 turbo cars a different design was used for the RN engines. My V70R is chucking oil from said hoses, and based on lots of reading I am happy to delete the cooler arrangement, hence the need for this part.

I don't suppose you have either the front or rear near side door locks?

I'm told the front one is the same as the N/S front door lock of my 2 door 2004/5 C70 rag top, but try as I might I can't find any info about the rear door lock of a P1 V70, but it seems it might well do the job.

If you have either or both, please pm with a price including p&p.
