Default stange engine noise

Hi everybody, I just got my car back from my other half

Today noticed strange engine noise, does not change when clutch depressed or air con on/off.
Volvo XC60 D4 2.0 VAE engine MY14.5

Noise appears when revs slightly raised above tick over

Please listen to the videos, you'll hear change in tone and trelling noise appearing.

sounds like big ends noise (ticking) , but its not that

Does anybody experienced something similar?
As I remember same noise appeared last year on German autobahn, back home technicians at Volvo could not hear nothing, and now out of warranty now I need to deal with it myself.

I am thinking to take auxiliary belt and inspect bearings, but this will not happen until a week after Easter.

Thanks for all the help and steering to the right direction,
K

It might be the VEA balance shaft, although it is usually more pronounced at 1500-2000 rpm.

Any help would be appreciated

All diesel engines sound bloody awful and your's sounds no better or worse than most. I certainly can't detect a noise that would give any cause for concern.

I think it could be the vaccum pump as the noise goes away shortly after starting
