Default wireless phone charger v90 glitch

I bought a wireless charger which sits in the cigar lighter socket of my v90 and looks very smart. It also charges my iphone very well.
The weird thing is now when you open the front passenger door with the engine running the car alerts you that the key has been taken out of the car!
This can only be fixed by stopping the car, switching it off and then starting it again.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Everything works fine again once the wireless charger is removed.

A few members on the forum have the same charger and i'm not aware of any similar reports. How old is the battery in you key fob?

I have this charging device plus the wireless Carplay adapter and have never had an issue with it. Like Thorium says, check the battery, my experience of key fobs from different manufacturers is they start playing up when low, especially with sensing the immobiliser.

I get this with mine, had it in my 2017 V90 and now my 2021 V60. It only does it when the phone's on the pad, I'm guessing it's some magnetic interference from the induction coil. I take my phone off the charger and hit the OK button on the wheel, and that clears it.

Default thanks

thanks for that tip, I will try it later.
The battery in the key fob is under 6 months old.The problem only happens when the wireless charger is plugged in.
I only really need the charger on long journeys when I'm listening to some 80's classics on Spotify.

Same issue with my XC60 - just have to lift up the phone, turn the key - and all fine!
