Cornering lights only work at low speed

Active bending lights are different kit.

Active high beam are the magic lights and another different bit of kit.

I get confused.
What is Active High Beam, with Shadow Technoligy?
Or are they separate functions.
Thank you.

Is the LED version of "Acive High Beam"as now fitted to the new XC90 I believe. Not separate functions.

Standard Bi-Xenons also get the LED corner light function. Incidentally this corner lighting also works when you are reversing.
In addition, Active High Beam gives you automatic switching between low and high beam, and also the shadow mask function. When this operates, the auxiliary halogen high beam is not active. So, in essence, there are three light modes. Low beam (bi-xenon only). Shadow high beam (bi-xenon only). Full high beam (bi-xenon plus auxiliary H9 halogen).

Default Active High Beam not working

Has anyone's AHB stopped working? When I pull the stalk back it comes up saying 'Active High beam temporarily unavailable'
Looked in the manual, searched online all to no avail?
Anyone a clue what to do to sort it?
Its a 15 plate V60

Question about this AHB feature.
When you turn on the High beam, the icon on the dash become blue. Does it have an A in it or only the blue light symbol?
I'm tempted to test it out but don't really feel confident to blind oncoming traffic. Especially not now that I've just replaced the HID with the Nightbreaker Laser which gives about 50% more light output.

Yes it has the letter A in the blue symbol and this is how you know, that AHB is active.

I've a 2015MY XC60 with AHB & ABL, on mine there's a setting buried in the menu for Left or Right hand traffic.

Love the AHB function, my lights are always on auto & as soon as it gets dark a quick pull on the stalk to activate the AHB, even if it's not fully dark the little a pops up in the lights & your good to go.
