Default Advice on buying S60 T3 2016 (automatic, 152hp)

Hi!

I'm about to buy a new car and right now my eyes are pretty fixed at a S60 T3, year 2016 with automatic transmission. It is in the "momentum" class, although I do admit I'm not quite sure what extra features that entails.

Does anyone know anything about this model, or maybe someone owns one? Like the quality and build of it? The idea is to use it as my main/general car and for at least 8+ years or so. So I wont be using it as a "fun car", if you know what I mean...

I think the engine code is B4154T4, which I think is Volvos own motor. I've never had an automatic but I live about 700 meters away from my job so 9/10 times of the time I drive, I drive around at least 150+ km and on highway/country roads (not dirt). So I feel the difference between an manual and an automatic would be minimal.

Anyways, so my main concern is just about overall quality of the engine, the gearbox and the car as a whole. If it's a good car and a good model.
Any ideas, advice, positive/negative experiences? Known issues/faults?

Edit; I might add that the car I'm looking at only has 30 000 km on the clock. So feels very "mint condition".

That's a Ford Engine - 1.6 (or 1.5) Ecoboost. The gearbox is almost certainly a Powershift gearbox (dual clutch automated manual) on which fluid changes are essential every three years. There have been some issues with the engine in Fords (my 2014 Focus 1.6 Ecoboost has had two recalls) and reports of Fords with the same engine catching fire. Worth looking for a 2017 MY 2 litre T4, which is a Volvo engine and a traditional torque convertor gearbox.

MY2016 T3 is a 1.5 liter VEA engine (Volvo) with six speed Geartronic transmission. Very nice drive indeed!

If it has the Ford Powershift gearbox avoid it like the plague.

Our Australian cousins have, following there experiences, shortened the name by omitting the “f”.

If as stated above it has the Geartronic then you should be fine.

B4154T4 is a 4 cylinder VEA engine. The only gearbox fitted to it is the AW TF-71SC, which is apparently made by AISIN.
