Default Wheel nut torque settings

Hi all,

Im swapping rims over tomorrow, need to know what torque setting I should use on them, I have heard some people use 85 ft/lbs but apparently the recomended setting is 102 ft/lbs, can anyone give me the correct setting I should go for. Overtighening it very baaaaad lol so I need to get the setting just right

Autodata also says 110Nm which is what I tighten mine to! But if you do not have a torque wrench handy, 2 and a half grunts should do it!!

When I tightened the wheel nuts without the torque wrench I tightened them untill I felt safe that they wont come loose, but make sure you don't over tighten them.....

I do mine at 81psi.....

Depending what make of torque wrench you have the calibrations of each is on either side of it on the handle like mine is but i prefer to read lbs/ft as we are in Great Britain and that is what i was brought up on.

Smile S40s Wheel Nut Torque

It says in the Haynes Repair Manual 81lbs but when I set my toque wrench to 81lbs i cannot even get it to click. I am frightened I strip the thread on the nuts.
