Do you think the distance from the ring to the sensor is as factory?

The spacing needs to be even and if your car is 1992 on it needs 48 teeth. Before that it may need 12 or 96 teeth, depending on whether it has ABS or not.

50 shades had 48 teeth (non abs 1991) and I fitted a 1995 abs axle to it without issue, I think all 940's will have 48 teeth knowing this, I could be wrong obviously.

Are you using one of these? https://www.classicswede.org/shop/48...or-diff-sensor

Did you check your original ring is a 48 one?

The new tone ring fixed the the speedo.the abs light it come on after a few miles then stays off again when restared
And comes on again after a few miles.no fault code seem to be coming. Could the spacing between the rear sensor and tone ring cause this

Glad to hear the speedo now works, unless it gives an occasional strange reding i would think the spacing is ok and therefore the occasional ABS light coming on is likely to be the front sensors, possibly just dirty but may be getting towards the end of their life.
